With this vehicle-specific CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 data display for your Renault Clio MK4/Opel Vivaro/Alpine 110 you always have all relevant values in view

The MFD15 Gen2 is equipped with an OLED display, which offers optimal readability even in direct sunlight. This kit comes with a vehicle-specific mount and connection kit. It is operated using the two push buttons on the windshield. You can also connect our optional rotary knob.

Key Features

  • Compact design: 52 mm in diameter and only 12.5 mm deep
  • Shift light: The LED on the front of the display can be used as a shift light and/or as a warning LED and can be freely configured
  • Can Bus: Support of own Can Streams and Can Bus control units; from model year 2008 onwards, OBD2 data query and in-depth values for VAG vehicles are possible
  • Wi-Fi: Connect to your smartphone or PC and configure it using our web app
  • Additional inputs: connect up to 6 analog sensors to the inputs or connect an ethanol sensor* directly to the display
  • Preset Alarms: Predefined warnings can be easily activated and customized. For example, you can receive a large warning message when the exhaust temperature exceeds 900 degrees Celsius.
  • Customization: Use your own startup logo and color scheme to make it your MFD15 Gen2
  • Online Logging*: Log your data with your smartphone or PC and save the log on your device for later evaluation
  • Flex Fuel*: Display ethanol content and temperature on your display
  • Can Switching*: Switch Can switches using the buttons on your display and forward the measured values of your analog inputs to the Can Bus

Different views

Choose up to eight pages from various preconfigured views and design your display to best suit you and your vehicle:

  • Analog pointer
  • double value
  • Gear indicator
  • 4-fold values
  • 6-fold values
  • Bar + double display
  • Round display
  • Bar chart (double across)
  • Performance Meter
  • Bar chart (1-6 portrait format)
  • Individual value

Configuration via online display setup software – oDSS

A completely new feature of our MFD15 Gen2 is Wi-Fi access. This allows you to set up the MFD15 Gen2 using your smartphone or PC.

With the oDSS you can completely configure your display, log values (license required), upload your own start image and also update the display.

Supported values

A popular customer question is: Which values can I query from my control unit? The answer: ALL – your new MFD15 Gen2 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284.

ECU manufacturers determine which values are sent via the CAN bus interface. Documentation is important here – possibly even in the form of a DBC file that can be imported via our DSS . Of course, as a customer, you can access our extensive list of already implemented ECUs. Depending on the manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.

OBD2 queries via CAN bus (11-bit/29-bit) are also implemented. Vehicle-specific protocols such as UDS or TP2 are also available.

Included as standard:
– OBD2 – 11 and 29bit
– Ecumaster - Classic and Black
– VAG PQ34
– Haltech v2
– LinkECU
– MaxxECU
– Motec M1
– Emtron
– Megasquirt 2 and 3

If the desired control unit is not listed, you can download the appropriate TRI/TRX from our database or request it.

For all VAG vehicles built since 2008 (and even earlier in some cases), we offer in-depth data queries via protocol. Values such as oil temperature, boost pressure, transmission temperature, cylinder-selective ignition timing, fuel high and low pressure, wastegate activation, and much more can be queried and displayed.

Integrated LED

The internal LED can be used both as a shift light and as a warning LED.

As a shift light, you can assign up to 8 different colors and speed limits as well as a speed at which the shift light starts flashing.

When configured as a warning LED, you can assign a minimum and maximum value to each sensor. If the sensor is above the maximum or below the minimum value, the LED will flash in the previously configured color. The shift light will be deactivated during the warning period.

Scope of delivery and extensions

This vehicle-specific kit includes:

  • MFD15 Gen2 data display
  • Vehicle-specific installation panel for LHD&RHD vehicles
  • Vehicle-specific connection cable
  • Quickstart Guide
  • Connector B (6-way Molex)
  • Connector C (12-way Molex)
  • Pre-assembled connection cables in various colors (length: 20 cm, intended use: power supply, CAN bus, analog inputs, 5V, sensor ground)
  • Pins for crimping yourself
  • Two 1K resistors (as pull-up for connecting external NTC sensors)

Any sensor can be connected via the six analog inputs – we support both linear 0-5V and NTC sensors.

The characteristics of our in-house CANchecked sensors are stored in the display as standard and function plug and play:

  • AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
  • AIN2: Converter for exhaust gas temperature probe type K (TCC01)
  • AIN3: Pressure sensor 0-10 bar (FLP01)
  • AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0-5.5 bar (BST01)
  • AIN5: not preconfigured
  • AIN6: not preconfigured

For the connection you can use our pre-assembled 4-way AIN wiring harness.

If you have the appropriate license* you can also connect an ethanol sensor directly to the display via a separate pin.

*Additional licenses

Live logging of the MFD15 Gen2

With the additional "Live Logging" license, your display can log sensor data in the oDSS. You can then download the log as a file to your smartphone or PC.

All sensors will be logged in the log (NOTE: For OBD and UDS, only the currently displayed ones!) . Select the sensors you want to display graphically.

Flex Fuel Ethanol Sensor directly on the MFD15 Gen2

With the additional license for the ethanol sensor, you can connect a sensor directly to the display. You need a pull-up resistor (10K) between 5V and the signal.
Now you can see both the ethanol content and the temperature and log these sensors as well.

Can switching and AIN forwarding

With the additional license for CAN switching and AIN forwarding, you can switch CAN switches using the buttons on your display or the rotary knob and route the input voltages of your analog inputs to the CAN bus so that you can also see them in your ECU.
